Multiple functions of aerogels in liquid 3He at ultra-low temperatures

Abstract:
Some recent results of experimental and theoretical investigations of the effect of different high porosity aerogels immersed in the liquid $^3$He at millikelvin temperatures are reviewed. Most of the results were obtained in the P.L. Kapitza Institute for Physical Problems in Moscow. A difference with respect to conventional impurities in metals is discussed.
